61/ #HanCocksApp has a new privacy policy that repeats some key issues with the original. "In order for you to participate in this App We will need your consent to this Privacy Policy and the associated Terms of Service." Consent for use of data buried in a policy

62/ Good to see the updated policy now advises email addresses will not be uses to send "marketing or third-party messages unless you have explicitly provided your consent for Us to do so"

63/ "If you ... withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data, you may not be able to access or use the app". It's a confusing policy. It does not clearly articulate which data are processed under consent, how, therefore might people withdraw consent?

64/ instead the privacy policy states "The legal basis we have for processing your data is based around the consent you have voluntarily provided us." So, the policy also states it captures & uses peoples IP addresses - I'm not sure people 'volunteer' their IP address

65/ This blanket consent and the fact that consent remains tied to access to the service remains problematic and is a surprise give the app is allegedly GDPR compliant.
