Strange how so-called "progressives" in America are fetishizing the hijab, claiming it's a "symbol of feminism" while REAL feminists in Iran are risking incarceration and death by removing their hijabs.

You either believe that a nation has a right to self-determination, or you don't. I don't want UN troops to intervene in America's next civil war. And if I was Iranian, I wouldn't want US or UN troops to"help". I would look to the people to prevail over tyranny first.

But who in this thread wants anyone to get involved now? The thread was created to highlight change to an Islamic state. You're injecting how you think people of thinking. Instead of seeing this as a warning of things to come if Islamic number grow. That's what you're missing.

Things get blown out very quickly in this format. My initial post in this thread was to a woman who apparently believes the "Islamic Takeover" of Iran was recent history. I was trying to provoke thoughtfulness, not conflict. But there you are! Tough subject.
