Specific new laws need to be drafted to stop Internet monopolies like Google strangling free speech.

So interesting how Anti-Socialists suddenly start advocating Open access and Common ownership when things go tits up for them.

It may well, but Paul is very "Capitalism is good, Corporatism is bad" yet doesn't understand that by the very nature of Capitalism, it brings forth Corporatism.
-
The most ironic thing in the world is "corporatism isn't capitalism!" people accusing communists of magical thinking.

No, they're a private company. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not true.
-
Just curious: what about that private christian bakery the left got into legal problem for not catering gay weddings? Double standards?
-
that shouldn't be legally penalised, just looked down upon
-
The fact is that they were legally penalized, so all the lefties who supported that action don’t have a word in this discussion.
-
I wasn't even aware of it, but I don't think it should be legally penalised, it's not hard to find another bakery
-
What they haven't mentioned is that Colorado has anti discrimination laws that the bakery broke by treating gay people differently.
-
i should probably mention i don't even live in the US so i'm completely ignorant of everything
-
Neither do I but I keep my oar in. The owner of the bakery can say that he hates gays all he likes, but can't refuse service to them.

Germany IS able to impose fines so this “private company” argument is bollocks.
-
????
-
Germany can now fine these “private companies” for not complying with their country’s laws to censor.http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-10-23/germany-full-censorship-now-official …
-
This should go both ways. My country has Freedom of Speech laws being violated. So we should be able to fine too.
-
YouTube isn’t owned by the government, therefore freedom of speech doesn’t apply but regulations of companies do.

Don't give them your data then.

They take it, usually without your knowledge.

You would know if you read the terms

I understand that, that's why I can live with advertisement but when they sell my data to a third party, that's the rub.
-
They get your data when you merely visit a site. No reading terms and conditions required.

It's already stated in their privacy policy how they collect your browsing information

Who’s “they?” I’m talking about browsing in general.
