This needs balance. It's not black and white. 1. Any victim should feel safe to come forward when something happens. With or without evidence. You are not going to be lucky enough to ALWAYS have evidence. It doesn't mean it didn't happen. There's just not absolute proof.

2. Way, way too many sexual assault cases aren't even looked into by the police. Even when there IS concrete evidence.

3. When they are convicted it's a slap on the hand 0 months to maybe 2 years. While the victim struggles with being able to be intimate without PTSD. They struggle with PTSD, destroyed confidence, destroyed sense of safety. Etc. For years. Years.

Yes, I'm not saying we shouldn't be taking allegations seriously... I'm saying don't execute before due process, and if they can prove in court that it was a lie, (which would be close to impossible, we're talking ideal hypothetical here) they should be punished.
