Can you see why America’s Founding Fathers had a healthy mistrust of Government? Tyranny exists in smaller institutions and is inevitable in government. People with power often go astray from serving the interests of others.

Not every idea is going to be successful in the ideas market. I know you are being sarcastic, but this ☝🏻 IS the point. You toss an idea out and it gets tested. Our government cannot stop you. Alex Jones had dumb ideas that melted down in the fiery furnace and he had a fit.

before the names fly further, the First Amendment does not apply to private concerns, for better or worse. Alex isn't guaranteed an account on social media. That said, this was a coordinated attack, which shouldn't be tolerated and should be questioned.

Who exactly should intervene that’s bigger than social media? Who are these pleas going out to? Is it a call for intervention? Or just to raise awareness?

I think awareness first. Then find out who's giving the orders and act accordingly. I don't listen to Alex Jones. But I'd have the same reaction if it were Rachel Maddow. The people who are applauding are missing the larger point.

Because it seems that social media is powerful enough to be a national domestic threat but they aren’t. Unless the government hears the cries and intervenes. Calling Zuckerberg and @jack in for hearings is more dangerous than dePlatforming Alex jones

All this makes sense when you realise so many private companies/infrastructures are actually extensions of the state.

Private companies have a right to refuse service. Don’t like it? Create your own platform and let the “invisible hand of the market” do its god magic. Capitalism is competition.

Yes. However, private companies are doing MORE than than refusing service. They are banning of other services/platforms from being visible in the market, & are protected by states in their private platform-wide banning despite THAT being illegal.
