    The conversion of former Granary building into luxury overnight accommodation was completed before being unveiled by The Prince in 2019. The Granary Lodge has proved to be an instant international hit, as did a cookbook, A Taste of Mey, that has sold almost 10,000 copies. 4/4

    Milestones in the past quarter of a century include the opening of a Visitor Centre in 2007 with the help from The Prince of Wales’s fundraising efforts, and the completion in 2015 of a purpose-built Animal Centre now accessed free by around 500 school pupils each year. 3/4

    The summer past marked the 25th anniversary of the foundation of The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust. In January 2019, our charity, whose President is HRH The Prince of Wales, became the sole trustee of the trust, offering further security over the castle’s future. 2/4
