    Yeah I’m indifferent. I think it’s something she could’ve did without but if that was just something she wanted to touch on cool BUT she lost me saying it’s out of context and editing etc.

    when he was Oscar nominated the rape discussion came up then and folks still said it wasn’t the right time. I don’t agree with Gayle King asking family/friends about it. but there’s never a perfect time to talk about negative parts of someone’s legacy.

    Man...that dude was FAMOUS famous for 17 years after the incident. We had 17 years to hold that man accountable if you thought he did it...he played in the league over 10 years after...made movies, won an Oscar...started coaching kids...he been in the public eye for 17 years.

    I do agree with this aspect. I was just having a conversation with my friend about I don’t think Gayle was disrespectful, but I do wonder why I’ve never seen Shaq or LeBron or Wade asked such questions. And I want us to be honest about why that is.

    I think we have to be honest about Kobe's legacy but also be careful about who we're making answer for it. Does Shaq or other teammates get asked about his complicated legacy? I don't agree with putting a Woman on the spot in an attempt to make her the poster child of opposition

    I also dont think people would view it any differently in the context of the entire interview. It would get the same reaction. Some people won’t ever find that question appropriate to ask family or friends of someone who just died.
