No one cares enough about themselves jumping off, and clearly continuing to play normally hasn't stopped anyone. It's quite evident, otherwise people wouldn't do it. Point is everyone can abuse game mechanics at any point, don't be the person to start doing it.

The way I/we see it is we are very purposely exaggerating it (win or lose out of it) to show that yes everyone knows it's there, and no it's not fun at all, so don't do it at all. Think twice before how unenjoyable it could for everyone get next time.
