Don't go spreading false news. Most of us Veterans do care and respect the flag and demand that you stand for it. You must have served during peace time or in the rear where you didn't mean much.

One more time for the cheap seats: standing for the anthem has nothing to do with respect for the troops, who sacrifice not for our anthem or flag, but for the freedoms it represents (including the First Amendment & equal justice). Nice dog whistle, though! So much for unity.
