What I do not understand is why people care so much about what another group is getting. If your property taxes are reduced by 40% for five years but your neighbors are reduced by 50% permanently, should the whole reduction be scrapped?

Maybe it would be more important for these Americans to have health care and good schools LONG term, rather than a measly bonus. You know, because that one meal at a fancy restaurant is so important.

@NancyPelosi is wildly out of touch with the working class. For a family surviving paycheck to paycheck, a $1000 bonus can mean new clothes for the kids and a night out at a decent restaurant...as opposed to hand-me-downs and Hamburger helper every night.

What about pay increase instead ? A bonus does nothing, shortly after gone and not necessarily will have to happen again. How is that a solution to the problem? That is a temporary band aid and "good" PR.

Clearly you can’t do basic math. You gave corporations a 14% permanent reduction in their taxes. That thousand dollar one time bonus for people, is a crumb.

Raising the minimum wage to $15 would increase wages for 22.5 MILLION workers, thus far corporations have claimed (since all thus far seem to have been pre-planned) to raise wages for under 2% of that number
