We knew Trump’s base didn’t read the Mueller report but does Sarah Slanders really think they were unable to understand Mueller’s words?

They *won’t* be able to understand. That’s what’s so damn frustrating. He should have been MUCH clearer and spoke as if talking to kindergarteners. But he’s a Republican, so I had very little hope he would do that. As it is, Republicans will continue to lie and get away with it.

This is what Robert Mueller said at today's press conference: “If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”
-
Robert Mueller also said that while Justice Department policy prohibits charging a sitting president with a crime, the Constitution provides for another process to formally accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing. A clear reference to Congress and impeachment proceedings.

False statements above: 1) The report didn't say "no collusion." 2) DOJ didn't "confirm" there was no obstruction. There was no finding of no obstruction prior to Barr's. 3) Mueller didn't say Barr acted in good faith in handling the report. Mueller's statement was more narrow.
-
Worse, what even experts miss in reading Mueller's report, and what Congress must make clear through public impeachment hearings is that the main reason Mueller ddn't have enough evidence of Trump's campaign colluding with Russians is because Trump & his staff obstructed justice.

I wonder what Jesus-story you tell yourself, about the fact that every week you stand in front of a microphone and willingly perpetuate falsehoods that do great harm to millions of people.https://johnpavlovitz.com/2018/05/01/dear-sarah/ …

The Republican Bible has a special chapter—the Book of Hypocrisy. And their favorite verse from that book is, “The end justifies the means.”
