The statement of the German government’s anti-Semitism commissioner, that it would be preferable for Jews not wear a kippa in #Germany out of fear for their safety, shocked me deeply.

I think people should keep religion to themselves. Or do it in a manner that does not inadvertently provoke. Jews can wear the kippa at home or at the synagogue. But in public? Dot it like the Christians who have a tiny cross around the neck, under the shirt _A friend of Israel.

Yes, one must be able to wear kippa always. Reading original text he stated not to do so everywhere at all times also with goal to shake up Germany, creating debate to ensure safety for Jews everywhere, and no no-go areas can be allowed to exist. Public debate needed, also in NL.
