In receiving the report, the President thanked the panelist’s for a job well done indicating that “they’ve made his job simple”. He said the outcome of the findings would help ensure that public institutions smoothly perform their mandate.

Commissioning an inquiry was positive. However problems at SSHFC highlight a much bigger problem in the Civil /Public Service. The entire outfit needs fundamental overhaul. Also, when will we move away from ‘appointing’ to ‘selecting’ through open recruitment & on merit
