An investigation has been launched to gather facts about what led to the clashes and who authorized the shooting. We will update as we gather more information.

Since you seem to not have a clue, tortured and seriously injured individuals are currently detained at Brikama Police Station instead of being taken to the hospital for medical attention. @BarrowPresident @fcmljallow1 @AmieBSissoho @Gambia_MOJ

How’s the investigation into Haruna Jammeh’s killing going? The PIU officers that slaughtered these Gambians must be arrested and remanded in Mile 2! The policy that allows them to kill in the name of “national security” must be squashed!

One murder is too much for a healing Gambia, Barrow's incompetent government has once again neglected and brutally murdered young people who faught hard to bring him to govern

Why do we Gambians like to talk about things we have no idea on. It’s true dat barrow is to blame on any wrong actions by his government bt remember he is 1 person and can’t do 10 people’s job. Y don’t we play our part in the development or we all choose d talking wic s easier.

Its regrettable to loose a single soul but we also need to be heedful to to our religious teachings. Demonstrations/strikes are not acceptable in Islam so, lets use the right challenges in trying to solve our problems. We can preferably use judicial system rather than force.

Come out and talk to the people. Stop being so proud of yourself. We are the ones who made who you are today. Have a press conference about the situation and go pay respect to the victims. And also go visit the site to calm the situation. A word of advice. Sleeping President
