The majority of the cuts are from allocations made to the Office of President Adama Barrow, which had more funding than most critical government agencies under his predecessor, Yahya Jammeh.

At least D475 million dalasis ($11.9 million dollars) mainly in goods and services, most of it from the budget of the Office of the President have been cut.

Are you spending $93m on the office of the president? What % of the national budget is this? How much are you spending on higher education, efforts to make Gambia self sufficient in food production, energy production, health care etc? I think this is too much.

You are confusing you self the 4.7 billion you quoted is in respect of the deficit . Expensive expenditure above what we can afford . This use to be borrowed but in 2017 we had a budget support form donors to pay of the 4.7 billion so we didn’t need to borrow it . This is not a

no a cut in expenditure but rather a cut in debt . As we no longer had to borrow as someone else was offering to pay for our over expenditure . A cut would have been a reduction in expenditure of 4.7billion . Which is not the case here .
