Everyone has a privilege tally. White is worth points in this game. Male? Big upward arrow. Familial wealth? Big check. Good school? Tick. Gold star. Hard work? That’s a way of getting points too. Sadly how far you get is still a matter of how many points you started with.

Britons! Stop voting for misanthropes in the hope that their self-serving will somehow also benefit you. The tide won’t rise and lift all boats. We are being drowned in Tory sewage and our bodies are merely marker buoys for their superyacht lifeboats

England is one of the only countries in the WORLD that had privatised water, and the only country in the U.K. With private, profit driven, offshore companies, is it any wonder we’re swimming in shit?

Born in 76 and I certainly worried more about nuclear war than about the IRA as a child. When I wasn't worrying about the risks of quicksand, picking up sparklers by the hot end and trying to retrieve frisbees from pylons, anyway.

You need to drink 273 pints of beer a day at 3p off to offset the £3,000 extra tax burden the Tories have dumped on you

This is the funniest, most cutting assessment of Facebook's announcements today.

The Chancellor of a country that has over 2000 food banks and 5 million children living in poverty has reduced the price of Champagne.

My waiter at the Steakhouse last night went to art college and had never heard of Wes Anderson. I’m hoping that a seed has been planted. Hope you get that night off to go to the pictures, Dave.

“The French Dispatch” reminds me when I worked with my Dad in attics and under floorboards replacing wiring. I’d often find an old newspaper or magazine. They were like finding treasure. A lost world of sincerity. I couldn’t bear to read a paper or a magazine these days.

Just been contacted by 01216813181. Told me there is a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion and did I know a criminal lawyer who could represent me in the ‘Court House’. I said I am a criminal lawyer, and could she please tell me the Police station I should contact. Hung up.

What a good half time coaching job Arteta did there. Leno was peppered in the first half but feet up in the second despite losing both centre halfs in front of him

They bullshit. But they also cave. Wrong to vote that way. Wrong to hide behind a craven press. Wrong to fight back by telling us sewage would back up into our houses. Wrong to say it would cost £600bn. Wrong to invoke the memory of David Amess. Wrong wrong wrong.
