‘But crouching between the lines of the Johnson story is another, about class, & gender, & who should care for a child. The mother? Not if she’s posh. The father? That would be cruel. Party donors? TBC.’ Cracking piece on childcare by

Fantastic campaigning from & many others to make this happen; now for every neonatal unit to allow both parents unrestricted access, together, to their premature or sick baby

Wales has opened pubs and restaurants... I want to be able to tell all pregnant women that they can bring their birth partner to their 12 and 20 wk scans and all of labour. I know this is changing in some hospitals, can you confirm it’s all

Why are so many men offended by us saying we don’t want to wear a mask when going through labour? Could it be they just expect women to shut up and get on with the baby making - after all, isn’t that all that we are good for?

Research from shows just half of women feel listened to during labour; forcing a literal communication barrier on them is not only traumatic but potentially dangerous & against official guidance. Pregnant women deserve better.

Feel furious watching programme about the menopause. Why oh why does no one research the stuff that kills women and messes up our lives. We are never anyone's priority politically, medically, scientifically. Past looking pretty and giving birth we are a burden.

My cousin in France is pregnant and was offered an appointment as soon as the vaccine was authorised for pregnant people. Don't really get why we haven't done the same here.

Could anyone give me a valid explanation as to why pregnant women, particularly those in the 3rd trimester, have not been prioritised for the vaccine when all other vulnerable groups have?
