Replying to @InvestmentBook1
It won't be an exciting one. The gameplan was replicating startup fundraising at industrial level. First, jack up valuation and then create real business with high valuation fundraise + regulatory capture. I'm sure they knew the bubble would burst w/ reversion to mean.

Elon Musk figured this out at Twitter. Others are now figuring it out elsewhere
"Why does a company ($SPOT) whose main job is to stream music (and podcasts) need almost 10,000 employees?

As a quality investor you want to invest in the best companies in the world. You don’t want to invest in The Next Big Thing but invest in companies that have already won.

There will always be cheerleaders for rising prices creating a market for over-optimistic projections and fake numbers. It’s important to have a counterweight, however much it may be maligned.

Time to max out the LRS before 31 Mar 2023!
Earlier all outward LRS (Liberalized Remittance Scheme) exceeding Rs 7L in a financial yr attracted TCS of 5%. TCS will now be 20% without threshold limit if it is for a purpose other than for education or medical treatment.

Anyone can buy an index fund with no aspirations of outperformance and do quite well. However, investing to beat the market requires you to “beat” the person you are trading with over time.

1/ A Google colleague recently observed to me that computer science tends to reinvent the wheel every 20 years: “a new generation just reimplements old ideas, but with more compute”
What’s fascinating is this 20 year cycle seems to coincide with the timing of tech stock bubbles
