France has found that survival rates dramatically increase when patients are intubated already as soon as EMT’s pick them up, long before they arrive at the hospital. The have trained EMT’s to do so and are also sending out MD’s with the EMT’s.
Can’t imagine how mentally exhausting your job has become. Americans owe you and your colleagues a debt we cannot repay. Hang in there and my prayer is that you and your families stay healthy
Who’s bringing them into the hospital? Why isn’t the ambulance intubating if that’s what they need? Why aren’t they being diverted to other hospitals with less ER activity?
The point is that A LOT of people are needing to be intubated. All the hospitals have that much activity.
