Dear visual journalists and educators, we should be angry and motivated. I'm exhausted by decades of experiencing this cheap pic attitude. As a former journalism dept chair, I encourage you to be top editors, chairs, deans, etc. to have more power to create change. Be the boss.

It's always easy to have liberal ideas(in this case about 'free' photography) about things which have no negative impact on the person/organisation promoting said view.If people think pix are unimportant,try publishing a page of only text and see how dry and boring it looks.
