I dunno. I like personal loot. I like variance. I don't feel like I wasted an entire weekend for absolutely no gain. That's painful.

The chance of getting the item you want is less than 10%. At least with pre-wod gearing the chance of seeing what you needed was higher

I don't need another pair of vers:mastery pants, thanks. I didn't want these ones to begin with. But with a loot table 11 items long...

But it's even suckier to run a heroic for one item - fist off sky reach last boss, or trinket off everbloom, and instead get total shit

I don't know what the mathematic improbability of that happening is (11-12 items on the loot table, plus rolling to get loot!?) but it sucks

I've seen the same gloves drop four times today. At least once, they were the only drop in the entire instance.

And it's been a total. Fucking. Failure.

Err, 630, not 639. I've run them all to try and shift from shitty itemization to at least partially worthwhile itemization.

The past two days, I have sat in DPS queues to run every single heroic, despite already being mostly 639 (trinket still 615)

I recently switched my main from WW to Ele Shamam (crazy, I know). With my raid 2 weeks ahead of me, I've spent the week trying to catch up

And there's a degree to where those choices can be interesting. But any fun in those choices is removed by the godawful loot process

Non-idealized stat loot makes choices matter a little more - do I take this multi strike/vers (best and worse stat) over crit/haste?

On some level, I understand the concept of the WoD loot system - and can agree with it at points.

I feel like I'm going to start a blog just to write this post. :P

So, that pretty much was my blog post I wanted to write. Still want to actually write it though. :P

My basic theory is this: MW is becoming a weaker resource as time passes (from a design PoV). How do you fix it while retaining flavor?
