I have been involved in permitted peaceful anti-war marches in Orlando. What I saw today in Portland is violence! Why do you allow this to go on?

We considered individual violent types within a peaceful demonstration to be "agent provocateurs" and they were a menace to protestors and police alike. What you have today is a domestic terrorist group, they need to be monitored like violent street gangs

How many people were arrested and detained for this? Hundreds? Dozens? One? I suppose the mayor is tying your hands again- it must make you angry to let chaos occur due to incompetent leadership at the top.

If they cared they'd do something about it despite orders not to

Are you corrupt or is there a standing order from the mayor to do nothing as bands of masked men are routinely violent in broad daylight?
-
Or is it both? It is something though. In most first world cities you don't have roaming mobs acting with violent impunity. What's the explanation?

Not the fault of the police they have been ordered to stand down by the the mayor and governor. They feel it will incite violence to arrest these people
