I would calmly thank him for his offer, but say alas I must decline, and remembering I'm a paladin and while casting "lay on hands" on my poor afflicted foot I casually ask if he has a wish what would 'he' want, and why not use the wish to make his dreams come true, to live life!
His eyebrows perk up. "So your wish is for me to have your wish?" He asks calmly, observing the broken tissue of your black and blue foot reconstruct.

Should we all not have a chance at happiness, I am quite content and glad of the life I have, traveling the land with my amazing party, having adventures, but you where trapped, unable to do anything until your prison was broken, so yes you should also have the chance to be happy
