Ok it depends where you come from, there are even countries where friday is the first day of the week... However, if "weekend" is defined as saturday + sunday, sunday can't be the also the first day of the week. It would make no sense or ?

I believe the technical answer and also what you'll see on most calendars (at least in the US) is Sunday as the first day of the week. But realistically Monday feels more like the first day of the week, and Sunday feels like the last.

Well, almost all of Europe has monday as the first day of the week so clearly that is the correct answer.
