You give me the vibes that you may like similar games as myself. Should check out mechwarrior or battletech. Extensive lore and a lot of thinking and creativity to play with. Also one of the oldest gaming franchises.
I had a lot of friends into the table top Battlemech and Mech Warrior. I've watched some gameplay and it looks pretty dope!! Maybe I'll pick it up. Any you recommend to start?

Mechwarrior Online is free to play which is the FPS version. Battletech is the turn based strategy which can be found on steam. I've been playing a lot of mech online again recently if you wanna join I'd be more than happy to help ya learn the stuff. ^^
