No one should have credentials after they leave office/post/station regardless of political party/standing.

I'm cool with that. But "let's take them away from people who say mean things about me" is not ok.

You can say #1 definitively that Brennan is not a good guy?
-
Well, maybe I'm too harsh. I mean who hasn't started a spying program on the Senate because it was investigating CIA torture and then lied about it.
-
I can’t judge his apology to the senate, but Brennan did acknowledge and apologize. You know more and have more informed opinions than I, but, we are far beyond the word apology, for anything, in this administration.
-
Looking at today’s House & Senate we could use some more intelligence officers spying on them.
-
Yeah, I was thinking of going there. But there are (were) lines and processes that were designed to check and balance and that crossed them. Now? Sure looks like Congress is not the healthy body it should be & I wish someone would do something. But that's on us.

Trump didn't end his security clearance because of any non Trump bad thing Brennan may have done. It was ended explicitly because he dared criticize Trump w/o mercy.
-
That's kind of what (2) was Larry.
-
YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MAKES YOU? (Larry?) (Lollygaggers.) LOLLYGAGGERS!
-
Plead guilty, but also pretty sure anyone who feels the need to tweet me about it has their own lollygagging issues.

So here's just one example... the comment he's replying to is gone, but I assume that's what this is.https://twitter.com/Popehat/status/1030227419163123712?s=19 …

The CIA doesn't investigate domestically. Period. That's important.

How about we just say that Brennan did some good things (e.g., Osama Bin Laden) and some terrible things (e.g., spying on Congress), and not try to judge him as a human being?
-
Yup. If we can be credited with nuanced thinking to sort out 1 and 2, we should be able to consider Brennan's human complexities too.
-
He defended the CIA's use of torture, misled Congress, and is responsible for a drone strike program that killed countless unarmed men, women, and children. He has shown no remorse for his international crimes.
-
And he is vigorously defending our democracy.
-
Deliberately murdering children is bad, and someone responsible for such is a bad person, no matter what other good things they have done, period. You're proposing a moral balance where one side of the scale is filled with charred bits of exploded children, which is repulsive.
-
Non-Americans who did this: Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, North Vietnamese, China, Turkey, Israel, PLO, France, Britain, various Congolese militias, South Africa, Myanmar, Venezuela
-
"Everyone else is doing it," is a REALLY poor defense for killing children. That shows that there are a lot of terrible people in power all over, rather than being a good argument for us to do it too.
