Every day, I see people telling us "the real environmental problem is population growth." Yes, it does contribute to the pressures on the natural world. But while the global population is rising by 1% a year, consumption is rising by 3%. That's the biggest issue.

It's all too easy for people in rich countries, whose populations are growing slowly or not at all, but whose consumption exerts impossible pressures on the Earth's systems, to point to people in much poorer nations and say "they're the problem."

When will you and the public realise, that we are no longer talking about "brown people" when we discuss population? This is so ridicilous and old school. The world has changed!
#populationgrowth is an issue in industrialized countries as well. We are the ones to stop growing.1 reply 1 proslijeđeni tweet 1 korisnik označava da mu se sviđa
Why arguing, it is #overconsumption, not #overpopulation?
It is both.
It is #overconsumption MULTIPLIED WITH #overpopulation.
You are a tough guy, you should get that.
Stop #economicgrowth , stop #capitalism , which are both CONNECTED to #populationgrowth .
Do the math.
