Access to healthcare is a right, but you can't demand that someone else provides a service to you for free.

Healthcare would not be free because governments put in place a system of revenue and payment that is allocated proportionally, often referred to as “taxes.”
-
If everyone in healthcare decided to quit, who would provide your care? If healthcare is a right then do you have to able to force them to work? You have the right to a free press, but government won’t pay for your printing press.
-
What? I don’t know how to respond to this bc it makes no sense. By this argument nothing is a right because we’ve placed profit into everything
-
A right is something you are able to do freely, not something someone else has to provide to you with their time, talent, and treasure.
-
So what do you consider a right?
-
The idea of “rights” are based on a social contract among people in a shared society.
-
For those who reject transcendent God, right is merely a social contract. Can be changed. For those who believe in God, rights flows from God. Right to life, right to fair share of resources, right to dignity, etc evince in right to health

No one has a “right to health”. Everyone has a right to pursue their best interests which include health and by extension healthcare. These are vastly different things. A right to healthcare is a right to the time and talent of another person which is slavery.
-
Lol. If the doctors are there by choice and getting paid, it isn’t slavery. Nice try though!

-
If you can demand that anyone provides a product or service the person who must comply is no longer a free person. Think it through.
-
Again..The providers are getting paid..for 100% of every patient in all Universal Healthcare Systems. You have no clue as to what slavery is.
-
The demand is a demand of the state, not a doc. A demand that the insulin I need to live is not completely controlled by corporate interest, square in the camp of commodity. It is our job as citizens to demand this as a right.
-
It's your job to make healthy dietary choices that don't lead to diabetes, and it's your right to purchase health insurance. You don't have a right to the labor of others.

Hey smarty, not all diabetes is caused by poor diet/lack of exercise.pic.twitter.com/WpieLkzREx

Papa. Fix your church.

He is taking great strides in righting wrongs that were perpetrated, in some cases, 5 decades ago.

1. Universal right to health care? Universal right to food? Sure. But someone has to pay, and the church is conspicuously silent on these "minor details." I am tired of sanctimonious priests sitting back and doing nothing to help with the problem but telling me what I ...

All have universal health care. You see any American cities there?
-
Yet you still live in USA Friar? Is there a reason you haven't moved?
