Religiously, she's the mother of Jesus, the son of God. Not religiously, she's a mum who lost her son in the worst way possible and was strong enough to not lose herself. At least, that's why I worship and respect her.

Catholics dot not worship Mary, and are prohibited from doing so. We honor her as the Mother of Jesus, the first disciple, and as the one crowned in Heaven (see Revelations) who intercedes for the Church before her Son among other things.

That’s a good question, There are two definitions of praying - there is the prayer that is communion with God alone, a conversation, meditation, etc but there is also pray using it’s other definition which is more like the Old English ‘pray tell me’ - to petition or request.

I’m not sure what you are saying? but in principle just because a prayer is not answered it does not mean no. Prayers have been answered in my life more often in ways I did not intend or even notice until looking back many years later.

But why pray to Mary when firstly she had other children so she’s not a virgin, and secondly 1 Tim 2:5 says there is only ONE mediator between God and man, CHRIST JESUS. Not the “saints” and most certainly not Mary. It’s pointless.
