Pontiff - as Jesus representative on earth you have lost the moral high ground. Catholics worldwide but especially in the US are wounded and feel betrayed. Your attempt to pivot and divert to other issues like our politicians doesn’t work. We are hurt and waiting!

With all do respect , you can not speak for me, I don’t feel wounded or betrayed, I’m disappointed, but The way I look at it is “they” are only human and humans make mistakes. I will pray for them , My Faith belongs to what God himself has taught us. God Bless

I question those that defend the pope. Just a few, over 300 hundred and 1000's of children in Penn, just one state. Ireland where the pope went to discuss abuse running rampant. Are defending the pope because you are abusers of children to. If your child was abused. Jail is right

Now hold on there sir, no where in my tweet did I say I’m defending anyone, let’s not be quick to judge and point fingers , sometimes we’re just as bad as they are by accusing anyone who’s not agreeing with us or has a different opinion.

I appreciate the feed back & I am sorry for any misunderstanding. I am seeing so many defending child abuse in the church. As I am sure you know it has gone on for decades. A sports official "Larry Nassar" who is jailed as hundreds came forward. A teacher, Daycare.. Jailed. Mike

That’s ok. I love to dialogue. But since I can’t save the world on my own I join the masses in prayer, and try to be the best I can to imitate Christ. God Bless

I agree sir. Christ center of my life. In my life part of the world I live in is to pray & do everything I can to help jail the abusers. We can all join in prayer and fight this evil that could bring down the church. I believe action must be taken. Your friend Mike E the D

I went to Catholic preschool, grade school, high school, college and graduate program in Pittsburgh under @CardinalWuerl. I interacted with 7 of the named priests. I need information and resignations.

I can understand wanting it but, in all due respect, what do you *need* it for?

She's hurt, angry, confused, having normal human reactions; is not thinking about her choice of words nor should she have to. There's is nothing wrong with her. She was there, amidst these problems, not an armchair critic. @Wild_Optimist I share your pain.

Good point Lizzy.... maybe for the Catholic Churches sake and all practicing Catholics for that matter, we “need” accountability, and true atonement for the sins of its leaders, as well as ourselves. And put in safeguards to try and prevent this from happening again.

And most importantly the victims as well as those who’ve fallen away due to these predators. We’re talking about people’s souls here, I’d say true repentance is definitely needed!
