When will your actions match your words? The victims of the worst kind of abuse are still waiting for justice. Is it OK that the ones who covered this up are still in positions of power while the victims struggle everyday?

Stop blaming him for everything. He is one of the best popes ever. He did not do those bad actions if you are talking about what is in my mind now. Anyway, where are your proofs that the pope himself covered those acts?
-
If he wasn't covering up something he would've already made a clear mission to fight for those abused and hurt by cardinals, bishops, and priests in the church. He would've already started hunting down and removing those who committed these sinful acts. Sadly he hasn't.
-
Yes he HAS been fighting for and advocating for and apologizing to victims on behalf of the church, since very early after becoming Pope. Don't falsely accuse people because of whatever agenda or grievance you have with religion or THIS religion, please.
-
So what if he apologized if your child was abused would apologies be enough for you! Maybe you’d want justice!
-
Heck yes I'd want justice! I would gladly take an apology as well but justice first. Just so you know I'm arguing the same thing as you.

Mr. Francis, As a youth football coaching legend, I agree that communication is important. The way I communicate the need for excellence to my players is by making them wear a “Dumbass of the Week” dunce cap when they mess up. Hit me up on the DM with any questions. -Coach L

Do something about the abuse your church has allowed to fester.
-
In case you hadn’t noticed, that subject may just have been mentioned earlier. Time to change it I think.i can’t believe there’s so many bullies out there picking on our innocent Pope.
-
You're concerned about me "bullying our innocent Pope" when you should be far more concerned abt holding people of power accountable for the mass raping of our children. The amount of neglect on this issue is astounding. The very least I can do is say something. What is his plan?
-
Mass raping? What is "saying something" going to accomplish? Go to Church; support your priest; support your faith community; work with your legislators and law enforcement; volunteer your time with victims==>all those are a lot more useful than tweeting.
-
Like I said, "saying something is the very least I can do". I work full time at a sexual assault prevention and care center, I fundraise and do community outreach on a daily basis to address this issue.
-
And what effect do you suppose this "saying something" is going to have?
-
Better than not saying anything. The Pope has the direct ability to address this issue, hence I speak (in many forms, not just through Twitter). He invited survivors to speak with him yesterday, so I imagine he values when people "say something". Any other questions?
-
What makes you say that? Has he ever replied to a tweet? He uses this as a way of sending daily words of inspiration. What purpose is served by constantly changing the subject to sex abuse?

His first attempt (now deleted) was a little too honest about his view of the Church as an instrument for social justice:pic.twitter.com/kOxLYj2fCO
