Pappa what are you going to do about the systematic child abuse in the Catholic Church?
-
-
-
He's going to pray that people stop talking about it.
-
Why do you all think that the pope is doing nothing? He has repeatedly said that this abuse is horrifying, there are new rules regarding priests and children, and the priests who have committed these sins are being suspended from the priesthood? What more can he do?
-
He can open up the Vatican archives and expose all the clergy that have been moved because of child abuse over the last 70 years.
-
And what will that accomplish?
-
In some instances it will give the victims some form of justice It will open up the catholic church to spreading the truth instead of covering up lies. It would show there is no where to hide for any clergy who thought they might try some child rape in the future!

#pray is the first missionary task of every#Christian. It is also the most effective.#PopeFrancispic.twitter.com/uKNOgOzjIW

Prayers are just words, wake up and take action to stop supporting pedophiles. To me prayer is just someone begging for someone else to do what needs to be done, how about praying AND then DOING

God is NOT the one who molested innocent boys and girls, that’s a man made problem that humans are fully capable of solving! Sitting on your thumbs talking to the sky is useless when there are clear cut things that can be done to stop this molestation.
-
Prayer is never useless
-
@alexandrapend1 Probably not useless, but sitting there staring at the sky while children are being molested does nothing to stop these horrible acts. Church leaders could, in one meeting, devise a proactive plan to deal with the pedophile priests. No bolt of lightning required!

Optimism is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Giving back is a choice. Forgiveness is a choice. Being honest is a choice. Spoken words are choice. Teaching others is a choice. Showing gratitude is a choice. Respecting others is a choice. Living a recommendable life is a choice.

Great words.

Does the Catholic church believe that hell exist?
-
Officially, as far as I know, yes. There has been some discussion, however, over the nature of hell. Some say it's a place; others say it's a state. Many Christian sects have abandoned the concept of hell.

Please step aside - our children - God’s children deserve the church’s love- respect- protection. Promoting other issues is a disgrace.

Prayer is never in vain: it always brings forth something new that, sooner or later, bears fruit. Pope Francis
-
True- I just hope they’re doing a lot of praying for our children and for forgiveness for harming the victims.
-
Join us in prayer and fasting

-
For the victims- yes! For the church leadership to own the truth - yes! For the Pope to stop ignoring the issue- Yes Yes Yes!
