We do not deserve such fantastic allies. I was proud to complete the Polish Memorial walk last weekend at Arnhem . Polish paratroopers who had expected to assist the Warsaw rising were sacrificed in Market Garden.

Not just Polish soldiers were interned. Also my father, four days short of his 21st birthday and at university. Sent to Siberia.
