I've always known the flat Earth movement was fundamentally an anti-establishment political stance, just like anti-vax. The absurdity of the claim makes it a more potent symbol of their rejection of established knowledge and the institutions that espouse it.

Ok but bottom right is also pretty wacky, it's trivial to disprove with even a telescope of only moderate quality
