They literally announced at the event that this isn’t the mainline game. The mainline game comes out second half of 2019.

Also the Pokemon go mechanic looks optional. I don't see any reason to hate this. Especially since it's a spin off

It’s not optional. That game was made to use the gyro controls.

Have you seen Ultra Sun and Moon? You could turn the gyro controls off.

I dont really care what you guys say. When I played Pokemon Go, I liked it. I see this, and I see them trying to revive it and it actually WORKING. I mean, now you can take your Pikachu from Go, move it to the switch, AND THEN HAVE IT WITH YOU. Too bad I don't have a switch...

Looking through this comment section, it seems you just CANT please everybody, we literally got 5 games. Let's go Pikachu and Eevee, Quest and 2 Core games dated Q2 2019. It's simple, if you don't like "Let's Go" then don't play it and wait for next year.

The problem is that this release was teased as a "core game". If Game Freak considers something without wild Pokemon battles a core game, it does NOT bode well for the rest of the series. We'll all be feeding our Magikarp candies and spinning Pokestops if this goes on.

Did you miss my point entirely? I was talking about the months BEFORE now. Where all we heard was talk about a core game, not a spin-off. Then TPC has a HUGE announcement to make, so people get hyped expecting them to finally give us more info on what we were promised.

A.) They never talked about core game, they said they were making a core game early on in the switch lifecycle yes but everything after was just stated as "pokemon for switch" B.) We weren't promised that the very next game would be the core game so again they didn't lie...
