Alan was definitely playing in a division or two below where he should have been and was the reason Swans won promotion in ‘88, scoring the vital final goal at Torquay. I was actually at the ‘Steve Thornber’ game at The Hawthorns, I really didn’t know that was Alan’s last game!😢
