Our visual perception is not photorealistic. Everyone has their particular style, as pronounced and deviant as artistic styles. We don't notice, because we also perceive photographs in the same style.

OTOH persons don't exist. Instead of a single tree, a mind is more like overlapping rustling shrubbery, with one of the shrubs being tasked to produce a cohesive story of a fictional tree. The illusion of cohesion that we perceive in other people is a narrative projection, too.
