Is it actually diverse, though? I honestly have yet to read any of these guys say anything that can’t be reduced to “I have had a thought but you won’t like it! But! There’s nothing you can do! I am going to speak it! Here it comes!” Then they say something utterly banal?https://twitter.com/plinz/status/997177939304374273 …
Do you mean to say that Harris, Peterson, Weinstein, or Weiss say things that are (a) politically or intellectually similar (i.e. not diverse) (b) utterly banal, and (c) uncontroversial in today's climate?

I mean (a), primarily. And I know that (a) seems mistaken on the surface because they seem to all have variation in their positions, but I also just straight up don't believe that most of them are engaging in good faith. I think it's profitable to be seen as controversial.

As a result, (b) follows - because there's nothing more banal than just spewing clickbait and feigning surprise that their poor-faith arguments are being misunderstood by their opponents.

I spend most time reading Tao te Ting or Meister Eckhart so that I do not have time enough to understand today’s thinkers.
