How common is genius? This seems a missing element in many debates. If anyone who has ever been sexually inappropriate or anyone who holds or has ever held repugnant beliefs was excluded would there be just as many great ideas, intellectual creativity and societal progress?

There's a big overlap between people who think anyone who has been inappropriate or held repugnant beliefs should be excluded and people who are sympathetic to Marxist ideas. If we had excluded Marx for being a bad person, would there have been a nice "Marx" to take his place?pic.twitter.com/zOvQdSYcOc
