I think this is not a very deep treatment of the problem. The interesting question is not whether software is different from hardware, but what kind of software our physical hardware is.

Yes. The body and world you experience exist within your mind. The body that your mind runs on exists on a higher plane outside of our experience (we typically describe that plane as the physical world).
