i can understand why many thinkers seek refuge in platonic views / see math as "true deeper reality". Personally can't comprehend how such things are more real than any other construct of the mind - or how it would survive death and function with out temporality. Just more story

Mathematics is less yielding than anything we can perceive or feel. It is much easier to turn coal into diamond and then chew the diamond back into coal than it is to change the truth of a mathematical statement. Mathematics cannot be changed, only explored.
