Would you agree, that there are objective value statements we can make about the optimal conditions for life on planet earth? And that nukes are moving the gradient in the other direction? We can discuss the value of life, & that death might be the goal, but that gets weird ;)

If you want to derive values from life itself, it gets ugly very fast, because evolution is indifferent to suffering. From an evolutionary perspective, it is often better to replace a population with offspring of a different one. Evolution is the most brutal fascism.
