Are you serving beliefs or are you serving truth? I share your goals wrt conservation and agree that we should work towards that. At the same time, I don't think we get to choose the universe we find ourselves in, and being honest is important.

I don't see how not accepting the possibility that we are effed helps. But it often makes sense to put all of one's resources on a small possibility, especially if others don't. (I am very concerned that almost nobody plans for the worst case, though.)

The fact that euthanasia is illegal in most countries tells us that people tend to be in denial about things that make them uncomfortable, even if it means most of them will die horribly as a result of looking away.

Develop projections and make them available to administration and public, research and prepare large scale indoor agriculture, transition energy to solar-thermal, build new cities and infrastructure on higher ground and further up north, forge global alliances to handle migration

We may need hurricane resistant architecture, utilities and transportation, desalination plants, learn how to live in desert climates and tundras, and we may have to deal with resource war, uprisings, epidemics, failing ecosystems and massive famines without losing civilization.
