I would please like to opt out of the part of Twitter where people tell other people what to think. And the part where people express how upset they are that some people think the wrong things.

Yes, I also think it's human to rethink and improve existing ideologies, which in regard to AI could be of significant importance in the future. If this should ever be the case, do you think philosophers could formulate a universal human ideology the majority could agree on?

I don't think we should search for the best ideology any more than we should search for the best cancer. Once you recognize the implications of giving up agency over your thoughts and values, you are no longer morally free to do so.

What alternative would you suggest as a basic moral guideline & value system for the general public which could also be taught in schools? Wouldn't it be useful to subscribe to some form of open ideology that sets basic rules but is explicitly open to continuous re-evaluation?

This is such a hard question. I strive to teach my children the full truth about society, to the degree that I understand it. I also think that liberal humanism is desirable at a societal level, to minimize violent coercion and maximize individual autonomy and flourishing.

I consider identity politics of any kind as opposed to humanism and as extremely dangerous, because it is forming and pitting groups antagonistically against each other in a culture war.

I'd wish that people interact with each other as responsible, rational adults that understand their shared interests. But I also realize that most of us are not adults.
