by using "computation", we may eventually simulate this biology and simulate consciousness but it is not the same as our consciousness, just as a computer is not program is not the same as our thinking, even if some programs eventually may be made to simulate our thinking.

Our conciousness is manipulating hypotheses, some more valid than others, including contradictory ones, and it's creating hypotheses about hypotheses, etc. Our reality is a set of internal hypotheses, but reality is real.

Yes: our reality is a set of internal hypotheses. But most of them are created and manipulated outside of the reach of conscious experience. And reality is nothing like our experience; the universe is a pattern generator (as far as I understand with a specific ground truth).
