As I learn more, my distrust in governments is not getting smaller, but my distrust in revolutionaries is increasing. Most people are oblivious to the intricacy and fragility of the social structures that got us where we are, and ideology tends to project simplistic solutions.

Most revolutionary impulses come from young people that have internalized the just world propaganda that our societies indoctrinate them with in school and now notice that its divergence from reality cannot be overcome within the present system.

They usually have not realized that the existing world is not the result of moral aberration from the utopian baseline, and that the utopian vision was not only never on the menu, but would actually not even work, and that life and evolution are indeed intrinsically horrible.

I don't think that "subhuman" is a useful category outside of fascism. It is entirely incompatible with humanist perspectives.
