There is no reason to judge blog articles and scientific papers differently, and it is hard to make a philosophical contribution that does more than restating the obvious. I just wanted to use the texts as pointers to two ideas, one common but hard to defend, and the alternative.

The debate reminds me of the Star Trek prime directive. I find the case for anti-natalism more compelling, and although it sounds outlandish, the conclusion is not; it basically says: We should interfere only when we understand what we are doing, but we don't, so let's study it.

I think that a scalable spacefaring society with practically unlimited material and computational resources might indeed know everything worth knowing about societal circumstances, so this position might be simply romantic.

Despite seeing no intrinsic value in life, I must vote for conservationism because as a negative utilitarian, I find anti natalism very short sighted. We have a responsibility not only for ourselves, but for the universe at large (or whatever portion we can get to).
