Is there are word for when people are dramatically overestimating the computational power of biological brains?
To solve the binding problem and distribute rewards, you need to link cortical neurons into columns, which might be state machines with embedded function approximators, each 100—400 neurons. Individual neurons don't transmit a lot of state.

I don’t think the binding problem is a problem (as i understand it) and I don’t know what you meant by ‘distribute rewards’. Why columns? Is this a synonym for series? Or are you imagining some sort of array to represent their connection?
