Do you think that a society in which everybody is taught how it truly works has the best outcomes?
Would you think that the people that were the very best at understanding the incentives so they could rise to power suddenly stopped to understand the incentives to make delusional decisions, based on better information than we have, but somehow with less realistic expectations?

Is it not more likely that people make decisions with outcomes we dislike do so because they competently understand and maximize their actual incentives? (Which are usually and unsurprisingly poorly aligned with making the decisions we would prefer.)

Yes, exactly. I would even argue that they usually haven‘t really thought through their incentives and just stopped at some intermediary for them positive effect without accounting for the long tal

No, but I find that the way they make decisions often changes from getting to power, which is often done by empowering others, to preserving power and no longer net-benefitting humanity. I‘d like to see more people argue with a net-positive for humanity
