Nouns and verbs. States and functions. Matter and energy. Characters and actions. All the same things. All the things that we use to tell stories about reality, at any level.
Data are not wrong. Most interpretations are. The truth is not somehow the result of superimposing all available delusions.

Descartes reminded us that the only knowable truth is "something exists" (the thing doing the experiencing (thinking/feeling)). Everything else is possibly/probably a delusion. Carl Sagan said our job is to combine our delusions to see reality - the universe knowing itself.
